ESSENTIAL PASS INFORMATION

How do I activate my Liverpool Pass?

Your Pass is ready to use immediately after purchase, but only gets activated the moment that you first use it at an attraction or service.

When does my Liverpool Pass expire?

Your Pass will automatically expire at the end of your chosen duration. For example, a 2-day Pass that is first scanned on Monday at 10am will expire at 10am on Wednesday.

Travel on the City Explorer bus is valid for 24 hours from your first ride (you'll be issued a paper ticket by a member of bus staff that allows you to hop on and off during this time). Your first ride must take place within your chosen Pass duration (1 or 2 days). The bus stops at many of the Pass attractions but not all of them. Visit our Plan Your Visit page to plan your day.

Do I need to print my Liverpool Pass?

No, you can use your Pass digitally using the QR code on your voucher.  We suggest adding your digital Pass to your Apple or Google Wallet for ease of access. Should you prefer a paper copy of your Pass simply print this voucher at home.

What if I can’t access my pass on my phone?

If you are using your pass digitally, don't forget to charge your phones and / or carry a portable battery – not only does using your pass digitally ensure hassle-free entry to attractions, but you have a busy day ahead with lots of photo and video moments to capture! We also advise printing a copy of your pass for emergencies.

Should you have an exceptional circumstance which means you can’t access your pass digitally, the attractions have access to an online portal where they can manually locate your pass.  Please note, if ticketing / welcome desks are busy you may be asked to wait so this can be done whilst other visitors are scanned through.

Does the 2-day pass run across consecutive days?

Yes, you must use your pass within 48 hours of activating your pass at your first attraction.

YOUR VISIT

How do I plan my day?

You are free to visit the attractions in any order within your chosen duration, but our Plan Your Visit page will help you understand where each venue is, how long the typical visit at each attraction takes and how to get from location to location.

Does the Liverpool Pass have any other benefits?

Visit our Offers Page to find out about food, beverage and retail discounts you can access with your pass!

Where can I get travel updates?

Can I store my luggage somewhere while using my Liverpool Pass?

If you are pre-check-in or post-check-out at a hotel, your reception staff or concierge should be able to store your luggage for the day.  Alternatively, sites like Radical Storage can assist with finding a safe place to leave your bags. Liverpool Lime Street Station also has a Left Luggage service. Please note, bags are always left with these services at your own risk.

What happens if my plans change and I don’t use The Liverpool Pass?

Your Pass won’t be activated until you use it for the first time.

What do I do when I arrive at each attraction?

Present your Pass at each attraction for entry. You can visit each attraction once.

The welcome / check-in desk at each attraction will be different at each location but you’ll always find a friendly face ready to assist you!

Each team has been trained to recognise the Pass and scan your QR code using our dedicated software.  As attractions regularly welcome new staff, please be patient if a member of staff is unfamiliar with the Pass and has to refer to a colleague. The below guidelines will help your check-in experience run smoothly:

  • Reference The Liverpool Pass when you arrive at each attraction. The teams at each venue see lots of types of tickets and vouchers daily and this will help them scan you in speedily.

  • Some tours and experiences require you to reserve your spot in advance. Be sure to read the attraction redemption instructions on our website.

  • Individual attractions may issue a paper ticket as part of their standard processes (e.g. the hop-on-hop-off bus). This is not your pass and won’t get you into any other attractions. Please use the QR code issued with your booking confirmation.

Do I need to make reservations to enter attractions?

All of our attractions are currently drop-in, but any requirement for advanced booking will always be highlighted on our website.

Is there a limit to how many attractions I can visit in one day?

You can only visit each attraction once but are more than welcome to visit as many of them as you like until your pass expires.

Can you answer questions about each of the attractions?

If you have a question about an attraction, whether it’s a general request or a timed-entry query (where appropriate) we recommend getting in touch with the attraction directly.

Are attractions on The Liverpool Pass accessible all year round?

Yes, please see the individual attraction pages on our website for opening and closing times.
